THE BINATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL

The 2009 Festival is around the corner:

January 9 to January 17, 2009

Lifetime Achievements to: Robert M. Young (The Ballad of Gregorio Cortez, Roosters, Caught, Extremities, El Alambrista, Dominique and Eugene, and many more)

Premio de Trayectoria Artística: Eric del Castillo (Tunco Maclovio, Los de Abajo, La Generala, Todo por Nada, Maria Isabel, Pedro Páramo, etc.)

Jurados/Jurors: Director Alejandro Lozano (Matando Cabos y Sultanes del Sur). Productor Ben Odell (La Mujer de Mi Hermano, Ladrón que Roba a Ladrón ). Lion’s Gate Hispanic Acquisitions Chief Arturo Chavez. Andreas Olavarría Head of Hispanic Home Video for Twentieth Century Fox. Actor/Escritor/Director/Productor Hector Bonilla. Producer/Director/Actor Damian Chapa (Blood In Blood Out, The Menendez Brothers, El Padrino, etc.) Director/Writer? Producer Chee Keong Cheung (Underground, Displaced, The Bodyguard, etc.) Actor/Director David Shark (The Young and the Restless, Assasins, Without Limit, Desert Heat, etc.).

With presentations at UTEP’s Union Cinema, Cinemarks Cielo Vista, and La Fe Clinic.

This year we have movies from: United States, Mexico, Chile, China, Great Britain, Canada, Ireland, and Italy.

Every day at UTEP’s Union Cinema, there will be a talk with a Producer, Writer, Director, Actor, or Actress after the 7PM Movie, and on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday after the Documentaries as well.

Come and enjoy the Festival, since it is Your Festival.

Con presentaciones en el Centro Cultural Paso del Norte a las 4PM para Cortometrajes y Documentales, y a las 7PM para las películas. Como siempre: Los Documentales y Cortometrajes son Gratis y las películas son a beneficio del Hospital de la Familia. Este año las películas son de México, Chile, China, Inglaterra, Canadá, Irlanda, e Italia.

Presentaciones con Actores, Directores, y Productores Domingo, Martes, Jueves, y Viernes durante la Semana del Festival. Venga y disfrute del Festival, pues es SU FESTIVAL.
